Tent & RV SitesWhat Awaits
160+ miles of trails through old-growth forest, rugged coastline, and quiet inland lakes — the longest continuous backcountry trail system in the National Park System.
Home to the legendary Isle Royale wolf-moose ecosystem, moose, wolves, bald eagles, loons, and some of the healthiest wolf packs on Earth.
Paddle crystal-clear waters past sea caves, petroglyph sites, and hidden beaches. Kayak rentals and guided trips available seasonally.
Designated Dark Sky Park. With zero light pollution, the Milky Way stretches overhead in ways you've never seen — even on the clearest nights.
Dining
Served from the moment your ferry docks, the Harbor House is the warmth at the end of every island day. Seasonal menus feature Lake Superior whitefish, wild game, and locally foraged ingredients — comfort food that honors this place.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available throughout the season. The dining room overlooks Rock Harbor, where the light turns gold at dusk and the loons begin their evening song.
